Salamanca, Spain
In l978 Dr. Culton initiated the first study abroad program for the LACCD
in Spain. Since l980 the program has been offered in Salamanca. Salamanca
is a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site, is home to two major universities,
including the Pontifical University of Salamanca, where our classes our held.
It is centrally located on the Iberian Peninsula, close to Madrid, Segovia,
Avila and Lisbon, Portugal. It is a walking city, dating to pre-Roman
days, is full of history, great architecture, culture, language schools,
and student fun. Mrs. Culton will again offer a semester program for the
Spring Semester 2011 and a 2011 Summer Session.

Guadalajara, Mexico
One of the major universities in the Spanish speaking world, the University
of Guadalajara has been a center for many years for those wanting a high
quality, varied and full opportunity to learn Spanish. The Centro de Estudios
Para Extranjeros is located in a suburban setting, close to the historical
district of Mexico’s second most important city.
We will not be offering the Summer Session in Guadalajara program this year due to security concerns regarding travel in Mexico. The state of Jalisco and the city of Guadalajara have avoided most of the current problems found in Mexico relating to the government's campaign against the drug cartels. The College has determined that we need to put our program on hold for the present and we hope that we can return again in 2012. The program at the University of Guadalajara remains a high quality, low price, five-weeks of classes and activities. On an individual basis students are welcome to contact CEPE at the University directly, www.cepe.udg.mx.
Universidad de Guadalajara
Antigua, Guatemala
The beautiful former capital of Guatemala
is home to dozens of Spanish language schools that offer an opportunity
unique to the Spanish speaking world, one on one instruction, one
instructor, one student, at very low cost. We are planning a program at
one of the best of the schools in this most popular tourist destination
in Central America. Contact us if you are interested.
